Final Examination In our solar system we see many characteristics be brought out by the sun and the planets. Five of the main properties that will be discussed are geology, chemical composition of the interior and atmosphere, interior structure, orbital time.speed, and distance from the Sun, and comparative planetology. Planetary geology is the study of the structure, composition, processes, and origin of major and minor planetary bodies in our solar system. The goal is to understand the origin of the features on planetary bodies. Most all large planetary bodies in our solar system have gone through at least some of the stages of accretion. This would include internal heating, differentiation, and surficial and tectonic evolution. Planetary geologists like to study smaller objects such as meteorites or comets because they possess some of the original unaltered material from the original nebular dust cloud. Geologists also study surface sample of bodies like mars and the moon. Craters and giant explosions are also a topic that is widely studied. The density of the planets and study of their features are also studied. Chemical composition of the interior and atmosphere shows us what the planets are made up of on the inside and what their atmospheres consist of. The planets are split into two main groups: the Jovian and the Terrestrial planets. The Terrestrial planets consist of the four smaller and more dense planets closer to the sun. African Americans are still wrongfully racially profiled based just on their skin color. After researching this topic with the help of many trustworthy sources, the Zimmerman Trial began to seem more like an act of racial profiling rather than self-defense. This was determined by considering what Trayvon Martin was doing at the time and if Zimmerman’s actions were correct. Although racial profiling still occurs today, African American lives should matter as much as any other Americans. Effects on local economies include construction jobs are created as well as hospitality jobs within the casino. While it is true jobs are created though usually they go to people outside the communities. The lobbyists for these huge casino companies state that it will also revive a dying economy if they allow casino gambling in their cities. Contrary to this claim though, Atlantic City has the highest unemployment rate in New Jersey. They claim restaurants, movie theaters, and other local businesses will benefit when exactly the opposite is true. Who is going to eat a loca l restaurant when the casino is offering free meals and drinks to gamblers. By 1996, Atlantic City casinos were devoting 318 million dollars to promotional food and drinks. Also in Atlantic City, over 900 of the 2100 small businesses there closed and the number of local restaurants was reduced from 243 to 146. Richard Byron, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, describes gambling expenditures as Money Extracted From Other Consumer Spending. When casinos come into a small community such as Atlantic City or Biloxi the people living in that community start to go there for entertainment instead of movie theaters, restaurants and other places they used to go to before. In South Dakota, the state has experienced increases in chapter seven bankruptcies. But personal debt is by far not the only problem for compulsive gamblers. In the same two years the bankruptcy increased in South Dakota, the number of divorces increased nearly 6 percent. Also, child abuse and neglect are high among the crimes that compulsive gamblers commit.
